Apple’s latest macOS beta has revealed details of several unannounced products, providing insight into the company’s development pipeline. The release candidate for macOS Tahoe 26.7, released alongside other fall software updates, includes code references to new AirPods, Macs, home devices, and more—some previously thought to be months away.
AirPods with cameras and a new Pro model
The beta confirms reports about AirPods featuring built-in cameras. Earlier reports indicated Apple planned to launch the device in September, with a demo video on X showcasing its Visual Intelligence feature. The macOS code also shows work on AirPods Pro 4, a model not expected until 2026, as the AirPods Pro 3 launched in September 2025.
Details about the camera-equipped version remain limited. It is unknown whether they will include a new audio chip or other hardware improvements.
Home devices and a tabletop robot
The code also highlights Apple’s upcoming tabletop robot, a product mentioned in rumors for months. It includes references to a Home Hub with a display, designed to compete with Amazon’s Echo Show. The device is expected to use the Apple Watch’s interface, featuring App View and Smart Stack, while supporting FaceTime, recipe guidance, and music playback.
A new Apple TV Remote and a second-generation HomePod mini are also referenced, both likely to support the company’s updated Siri AI, which will include world knowledge and more natural conversation abilities.

The volume of upcoming products is unusual for Apple, which typically reveals fewer unannounced devices at once. The timing suggests the company is planning a significant hardware push.
Macs, iPads, and a foldable iPhone
The macOS beta also hints at new MacBook Pro models with M6 chips, expected later this year. Updated versions with OLED displays, touchscreens, and 5G support are in development. New iMacs and an iPad mini with an OLED display are also part of the pipeline.
For the iPhone, the code references the iPhone 18 lineup, including the iPhone Air 2 and the long-awaited iPhone Ultra. The Ultra, Apple’s first foldable phone, is said to resemble Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a passport-like design. The iPhone 18 Pro will focus on battery life, a more efficient processor, Apple’s C2 5G modem, and a main camera with variable aperture.
Apple has not clarified how it will differentiate the iPad mini from its foldable iPhone. Both will use similar display technology, but the foldable model will likely offer more power.
The macOS beta does not provide complete details on every product, but the range of references suggests Apple is preparing one of its most extensive hardware updates in years. The company has not responded to the leaks.
